    2. ViaTalk is a cross-platform voice recognition software. You can easily input words on computer by speaking and take the load off typing / handwriting. And the application also provides 50 languages in translation and recognition.

  2. Get Started

    3. You have to plug ViaTalk USB connector into the PC USB port, and then plug the audio connector into the audio jack of the phone as shown below.

    After ViaTalk software is automatically launched on the PC, please launch ViaTalk App on the phone. You can begin to use it when you see the message:[Already connected, you can start to talk now.] showing on the screen of ViaTalk PC software. You can also click to go to the setting page and tap [Connection Test], ViaTalk on the PC will show you a tip to let you know the connection status.



    Note:
    1. Please confirm the network and Siri of the phone have been turned on before using the software. If Siri isn’t turned on, please go to [Settings]/ [General]/[Siri] to turn on Siri.
    2. You can change the dictation language by switching the IME of the keyboard.
    3. If your mobile broadband has limited data quantity, please change the network setting to WiFi to make the recognition process faster and prevent the data quantity beyond the limit.
    4. If the phone is connected by an audio cable, when the application is launched, it will automatically set the media volume to the loudest level. To avoid data transmission errors, please do not set down the volume. When the App is closed, the volume will be automatically set back to the original setting.
    5. Some of phones have the power saving mechanism, it will be turned on when the battery level left under 15%, this may cause an issue when transmitting data. Please ensure your battery has enough charge during using ViaTalk.

Dictation


  1. Launch an editor on the PC.
  2. Click [Dictation](default) of ViaTalk PC software .
  3. Tap the switch button on the keyboard of the phone to select the speech language.
  4. Tap the microphone icon on the keyboard of the phone to start the speech.
  5. Tap [Done] on the phone's screen to trigger the dictation.
  6. It will show the interpreted text in the text editor after your speech, you can also see the result on the text area of the phone's screen in the mean time.


    7. Note: Siri dictation receives your speech for only 40 seconds at a time, after 40 seconds it will interpret your speech and convert it to text.

Translation


  1. Click [Translation] of ViaTalk PC software .
  2. Select the translation language on the ViaTalk PC software.
  3. Tap the switch button on the keyboard of the phone to select the speech language.
  4. Tap the microphone icon on the keyboard of the phone to start the speech.
  5. Tap [Done] on the phone's screen to trigger the dictation.
  6. It will show the interpreted text in the text editor after your speech, you can also see the result on the text area of the phone's screen in the mean time.


    7. Note: Siri dictation receives your speech for only 40 seconds at a time, after 40 seconds it will interpret your speech and convert it to text.
