WorldCard Enterprise for iPhone Help


WorldCard Enterprise provides personal platform for managing business cards. In [My Favorites] area, users can add, recognize and use card information; also, users can build their own category system for sorting the cards. Moreover, every information that added or edited in [My Favorites] will be uploaded to [Public Contacts]. Through the update system, you can share your contacts information with other users and get theirs information as well so as to immediately update and enlarge your contacts network.

User Interface Introduction

When you open the login page of WorldCard Enterprise, please choose [WCE Account] option and enter your account and password to log in to the server, if turn on [Auto Login], it will auto log in every next time.

When you log in to WorldCard Enterprise app, you will enter to the preset page [My Favorite].At the top of the page, there are buttons for updating card information, advanced card function, switching category, adding cards and search bar. The contacts will be listed according to field sorting and index mode. Bethe contacts list are the tabs of [My Favorites], [Public Contacts] and [Setting]. You can switch to different page by tapping the tab. 

 

 Search Bar- Type in the keywords to search for contact information.
Index List- Click on the index character or scroll the index list to view the contact and its card image.

 Advanced Function- Export card information, send e-mails/text to the contact and categorize/delete contacts information.
 Switch Category- Open the category list to switch the category and edit cards information.
 Camera- Use camera to add cards.
 Add Contacts- Choose the way to add cards.
 Update- Update the information between [My Favorites] and [Public Contacts].
 My Favorites- The cards in this area is for personal use and can be updated to [Public Contacts] automatically or manually.
 Public Contacts- The cards in this area is for all users to use. You need to log in online so as to have the access to [Public Contacts].

Tap Advance Function at [My Favorites] or [Public Contacts], the functions below will be valuable:
 Select All- Click this button to select all the options.
 Export card information- Export the selected card information to the Phone Contacts.
 Edit Category- Categorize for the selected cards.
Copy to My Favorites- Copy the card information in [Public Contacts] to [My Favorites].
 Send E-mail- Send e-mails to the selected contact.
 Text- Send text messages to the selected contact.
 Trash Can- Delete the selected cards.
 Setting- Adjust user settings and edit account information.

Add Business Card

Click in [My Favorites] to add contacts with the camera or click  to add contact by selecting pictures from Album, using Email Signature, creating manually, Importing from iPhone Contact or recognizing from QR Code.

a. Create Contacts from Camera

  1. Click at top right of the screen and the system will start the camera mode. You can rotate iPhone sideways to make sure the whole business card image is completely in the frame area.

  2. Click to turn on Anti-Shake Mode, click to turn on the flash function,and click to turn on the photo enhancement function.  

    Note：Please take snapshots in good lighting conditions and reduce or eliminate light reflection and casting shadows. If you are in a low-light condition, please tap the flash button to enable the flash function. (Tap it again to disable the flash function).

  3. Click or press the volume button of your phone to capture and preview the image.



    Tip：The number shown at the upper-right corner of [Done] button means the number of the captured image.

  4. In the preview frame, you can:

    • Click or o rotate the image.

    • Select the recognition language. This version supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Hong Kong, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Dutch, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, Russian, Turkish, Danish, Finnish, Greek, Swedish and Norwegian.

  5. If you are not satisfied with the image quality, you can tap [Back] to retake a photo.
  6. If you want to recognize the back side of the business card, just tap to capture the back side image and the information on it will be recognized. Also, If you want to capture more images, just tap to take the next card's photo.

  7. Tap the [Done] button at the upper-right corner of the screen to start recognizing the card image.

  8. When the recognition process finishes, you can view and edit the contact information. Click [Done] and the contact information will be saved in [My Favorites].






b. Create Contacts from Albums

  1. Click at top right of the screen and choose [Album].
  2. Choose a business card image from albums and preview the image.

  3. In the preview frame, you can:

    • Click or o rotate the image.

    • Select the recognition language. This version supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Hong Kong, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Dutch, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, Russian, Turkish, Danish, Finnish, Greek, Swedish and Norwegian.

  4. If you are not satisfied with the image quality, you can tap [Back] to retake a photo.
  5. If you want to select the back side of the business card, please click to select. If you want to recognize more cards, please click to choose for the next card image.

  6. Tap the [Done] button at the upper-right corner of the screen to start recognizing the card image.

  7. When the recognition process finishes, you can view and edit the contact information. Click [Done] and the contact information will be saved in [My Favorites].

 

 c. Create Contacts from dock mode

  1. Tap  and choose [Dock mode], this mode needs to use with [WorldCard Mobile Phone Kit] product.
  2. Put your Android phone on the phone stand. WorldCard Enterprise APP will detect the QR Code pattern on the business card stand. Once the app sensed it, the system will ask you to put in the card. When you put a business card on the card stand, the app will capture it automatically. 
  3. If you selected [Single Side Recognition Mode], the capture process is already finished. Yet, if you selected [Double Side Recognition Mode], the system will remind you to capture the back side image  Removing the card off of the card stand will alarm the app again for your next business card or the back side of your current business card.
  4. Tap [Done] icon to start recognizing the card images. If you want to continue to capture more cards, please remove the initial one off of the card stand. When the app detects the QR Code, it will ask you to put on another one to capture it.
  5. After the recognition of the card, you can tap [Card Holder] to find the recognized and unverified contacts in the list mode.




d. Recognize Email Signature
  1. Open any document with email signature information (ex. E-mail).  
  2. Select and copy the text that you want to recognize in the email signature area.
  1. Open WorldCard Enterprise app and click to choose [Email Signature].
  2. Tap the [Recognize] icon. the system will recognize the text you have chosen and then automatically build the contact info according to the attribute of each column.
  3. Tap [Done] and the contact information will be saved to [My Favorites].

 

e. Create Contacts Manually

  1. Click at top right of the screen and choose [Create Manually].
  2. Fill in the contact information in each field.
  3. Tap [Done] and the contact information will be saved to [My Favorites].

f. Import from iPhone Contact
  1. Click at top right of the screen and choose [iPhone Contact].
    2. Select the contacts or groups you want to import into WorldCard Enterprise app.

Tip： You can select all contacts in a group by tapping .

  1. Tap [Done] to import contacts.

 
g. Recognize QR Codes

  1. Click at top right of the screen and choose [QR Code].
  1. Position the QR code within the green frame and the QR code image will be captured automatically.

  1. Click [Done] and the contact information will be saved in [My Favorites].
  2. If you don't want to save the information, tap [Discard] to give up the recognition result.

Update Card Information

WorldCard Enterprise provides automatic update system. Every added or edited contact information in [My Favorites] will be updated to [Public Contacts]. On the other hand, the information edited in [Public Contacts] will be instantly updated to [My Favorites] as well. When you add cards in [My Favorites], the unuploaded icon will show in the contact list. You can wait fot the system to update automatically or click to update the information manually.
When starts to rotate or the number is changing, these mean the system is conducting the update process. When the process finishes, a update success message will appears and will disappear from the contact list.

Category Management

You can add, edit and delete card category in [My Favorites]. you can also switch the category in [My Favorites] to view business cards.

Click  in [My Favorites] page to enter the category list. Then clickbeside the root category to open the sub-category list and click [Edit].





Add Category

Click and you can type the category name in the opened column. Then click [Done], the added category can be found in sub-category list.

Note： You can only add sub-category in the category of root category.




 Edit Category

Click the category name can open the edit column. Click [Done], you can see the edited category shown in the category list.




Delete Category
Clickand click [Delete] to remove the category from the list.
Note： You need to clear all the sub-categories and contacts information from the category before deleting it.




Switch Category

If you want to switch the category, please click in [My Favorites] page and enter the category list. You can click the category name to view its card information or clickbeside the category to click on sub-categories and view the cards inside.

Categorize Business Card


1. Click at the upper-left corner of [My Favorites] page and check one or several contacts.



2. Click at the bottom of the screen to open the category list.


3. Check the category you want to sort for the contact and click [Done], the selected contact will be sorted to the checked category.

Application in Public Contacts


Category Shortcut

 You can add the categories in [All Categories] to [Category Shortcut] in [Public Contacts] page so as to view the frequent-used categories and contacts information immediately.

1. Click in [Public Contacts] to open the category list.
2.  Tap [Category Shortcut] tab on top of the list and click [Edit].



 3. You can click and check the category that you want to add into the shortcut area or click to remove the category from the category shortcut.



4. When you finish the editing, click [Done] to save the edited result.






Add Card to My Favorites
If you have enough permission, you can copy other users' cards information to [My Favorites] for quick access to the information or offline usage.

1. Click in [Public Contacts] page to enter the category list.


2. Click on the category name and enter into its contacts list.

3. Click at the upper-left corner of the page and check one or several contacts.

4. Click at the bottom of the screen to enter the category list and check the one you want.



5. After checking the category, click [Done], then the contact you selected will be sorted to the checked category in [My Favorites].







Add Category to My Favorite Categories

In [Public Contacts], you can add the category not only to the category shortcut but also to [My Favorite Categories].

1. Click in [Public Contacts] page to enter the category list.

2. Clickbeside the category name and make it become , then the category will be added into [My Favorite Categories]



Note： The system will only add the category you clicked. If you want to add the sub-category, you have to clickand enter the sub-category list to click its star icon.

Edit and Use Card Information

 

Edit Contacts Information

1. Click the contact in the contacts list to enter its contact information page.

2. Click [Edit] at the upper-right of the page to edit the contact's information, such as profile photo, name, job title, company address, fax, telephone, E-mail, websites, notes, etc.

3. When you finish editing, click [Done] and the system will save the edited result.

 

 

 

Use Contact Information

1. Click the contact in the contacts list to enter its contact information page.

2. You can click the information field to search for the address via Google, make phone call, send e-mail to the contact or open the website on the card, etc.

3. If you click the buttons below the information fields, you can send text messages, make video phone call via facetime. Also, you can click , , and , the system will use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter to search for the contact, if the contact has Skype information, you can tap to contact him by Skype.

 

 



Contact Information Application

1. Click at the upper-left corner of [My Favorites] and check one or several contacts.

Tip：You can click to select all contacts.

2. After selecting the contact, you can click one of the following buttons at the bottom of the screen:

Categorize for the selected contact.

 Send e-mail to the selected contact.

 Text to the selected contact.

Export the selected contact information to iPhone Contact.

Delete the selected contact.

Setting

 

Click at the lower-right of the screen, users can edit their login information and the usage habit.

  • Sorti order: Set to sort the contacts by company or name.
  • Index mode: There are "English", "Hanpin", "Zhuyin & English" and "Stroke & English" to set as index mode.
  • Chinese business card display: You can set "Same as card content", "Simplified Chinese" or "Traditional Chinese" to recognize the Chinese business cards.
  • Account: You can view and edit the server URL and account information in this area.
  • Auto Login: Open this setting, the system will log in to the server based on your account and password automatically.
  • Auto update: Adjust the Internet condition of using update system.
  • Quick add contact button: You can choose "Camera" or "Album" as the quick add contact button.
  • Enhance image: Open this setting, the system will enhance the card image to the best recognized condition automatically.
  • Import WorldCard exchange file: Import wcxf file to WorldCard Enterprise app from iTunes File Sharing. The file will be uploaded to the server first and then be updated to [My Favorites] later.
  • Help: Open this manual.
  • Contact Us: Send feedback.
  • About: Show the version of this APP.

Offline Usage
  • You can use WorldCard Enterprise offline when the URL is wrong or no Internet around. However, the system will need you to enter the same account and password as the last time you entered for the verification.

  • The system will base on the actual Internet condition and users' Internet condition setting to log in to the server automatically.

  • While using WorldCard Enterprise app, if the Internet has been shut down or the system can't connect with the server, the system will maintain the same status but the function of the Internet  and server will be suspended.
